Ersin Umut Güler
ERSİN UMUT GÜLER (Nur’s brother, NURİ)
Born in Istanbul in 1983, Ersin Umut Güler graduated from the Anadolu University State Conservatory with a degree in Drama and Acting, after which he went on to earn a postgraduate degree in Drama from the Haliç University State Conservatory.
In addition to Mehmet Eryılmaz’s The Visitor (Misafir), Ersin has picked up roles in the Ersin Kana directed feature, By Way of Deception (Hile Yolu), and Cem Yılmaz’s 2014 comedy, Coming Soon (Pek Yakında).
In 2013, Ersin co-founded Yolcu Theatre, an Istanbul based theatre company for which he both acts and directs. Productions he has directed to date include Wolfgang Borchert’s The Man Outside (Draussen vor der Tür) and Ariel Dorfman’s Manifesto for Another World: Voices from Beyond the Dark. Aside from his work at Yolcu, he has earned acting and directing credits for his work with other private theatre companies, the State Theatres and Municipal Theatres.
Ersin also acts for television, where he has appeared in a number of drama series, and is a dubbing artist.
